Swedish: Urks

Senior Member
Hi, Swedish friends. Can you help me to understand the swedish word "Urks" The context is here:

"In the manufactured ground found underlying the industrial city of Norrköping (population 120,000), for example, Swedish technol-ogy scholar Björn Wallsten estimates that there are fully 5,000 tonnes of iron, copper and aluminium waiting to be ‘mined’. 12Globally, such is the vast scale of the abandonment of metals in the artificial ground underpinning the world’s cities – what he calls ‘urks’ in Swedish – that humans are currently using only 50 per cent of all the metals they have ever extracted from the earth."

Thanks in advance.
