Hi guys,
I was wondering what the correct preposition is in this sentence:

I also worked in/on the development of a design tool.

Thanks!

Here's a general rule you can use.

work on: the thing that is being produced, developed, etc., or the team doing the work
work in: the place where the work is performed, or a field of work.

    Ex.
I worked on the team that built the Mars rover. I worked on the shields. During that time, I worked in Houston. I enjoy working in space exploration.
