Esteemed forum members:

It has been brought to our attention that some persons do not wish to have congratulatory threads opened for them. Since their individual motives are very personal, we kindly ask that you respect their wishes.

From now on, please take a moment to check this thread BEFORE opening congratulatory threads and check to see whether the person you had in mind does not wish to have one.

Please do not post in this thread UNLESS you want to be personally excluded from future congratulations for post count milestones (postiversaries).

Those WR members opting for self-exclusion are asked to post one message within this thread. It may contain one simple line or a brief explanation - it’s entirely up to you.

If necessary, moderators will delete - without further notice - any threads opened for members who post in this thread.

So many of my posts are moderation adminstrative functions, it feels like cheating to me.

Thank me by continuing to be your wonderful selves.

I do concur. Yes, indeed. So: thank you but... no, thanks! :)

Anyway, I love participating in postiversary congrats for other people!

Put me on the list too, please.:)
I take much more than I give here. So there is nothing to thank me for. After 1957 posts, I still can't handle agreement (in French, I mean) and can get really scared that someone may find my judgment (not) trustworthy.
    So... don't congratulate me either.
Okay, okay, 1957 is not such a big deal...:p I know. Just let me be presumptuous to post here in case someone might come along (but for this thread) and start a Congrat. thread for me.

Please add me too - now.

I was very moved by the reaction to my first 1,000 posts.
I have much appreciated the very kind messages that have appeared as I've added more '000s.

But I get the biggest kick from the day-by-day joy of new discoveries in language and in relationships - and the fact that this joy is there round the clock.

    Yiz are all great.

Add me please - I have truly appreciated all past congratulation messages, but I do talk a lot.

You can always send me PMs to tell me how wonderful I amn though, both as a person and as a translator! ;)

Thanks to the mods and admin team, this thread is an excellent idea. :)

Me too please - combination of reasons, but as a moderator I have to do a lot of moderating posts and they add up!!

It is nice to know that you've helped people, though, so if anyone would like to PM me if you have something to say please don't hesitate!:)

I'm one of the many, here, that don't need congrats anymore.

There are many others who deserve them much more than I do

A blanket thanks and congratulations to all those here who have already asked to be exempted from such posts in the future. And while I'm here, count me in... um... out!

Please add me to the list. Last time, I was congratulated for both 3,000 and 4,000 posts concurrently. As such, no thanks are due me for a loooong while ... unless you wish to write a private "Bravo."

    Hello,
Just in time :) !: only about 20 posts to reach 1.000.
Please, add me to the list too.
(I hardly ever read this forum.)
    Thanks a lot.

I was so touched when people congratulated me for my first milestone.
But now that I'm a moderator, I share Elaine's opinion which she expressed very well.
Please, no need to congratulate me for moderating posts :)
    Thanks.

I don't know if I'll reach 2000 post, don't talk about more. I'm glad to be hear to learn mainly, and if the occasion allows me to help, I'm glad to do it too... on the other hand I don't come here very often, so I have missed to greet many great people that it's part of this family and I don't want to look that impolite... so, add me to the list :)... PMs are always very welcome, and if you are intrested to send me gifts (they are always welcome too :D), this is my address:

    Name: Angélica Angel
    Street: 9 Cloud Avenue
    Zip Code: 777

I, too, was moved by the congratulations I got in my previous anniversaries. They made me feel welcome in the forum. But now that I've been here for a while I feel it's time to make room for others.
    Thanks again, everyone.

Thanks...but no thanks...though still a little far from the first 1000...;)
All the PPMs (public and private messages) that have kindly answered mines are more than kind and gratifying.
And I always have a "funny" face when congratulated.

I share the same opinion as Outsider: I have been here for almost two years, and now I feel that congratulating on every 1000 posts can be boring and time-consuming for those who do congratulate.

You can congratulate me on every 10000 posts I have completed, but I wouldn't be sad if you didn't. ;)

Thanks to all who have congratulated me all the time - but it's enough now, I think.

    hello,
I've been congratulated twice and it was lovely of all those dear people.
Now it's time to make way for the many who deserve praise.
Thank you everyone, I'll be delighted to post my congratulations to you (and hear from you via PM)
    Regards,

Thanks for the chance to rephrase my last post to reflect the truth more accurately:

Please, do not post any congratulations, as I will not use this nick ever again for posting in the threads.
    PM's are all good, though.
It seems I lied, and my compulsions got the best of me... Still around, still posting, but I'm still done with the congrats. Thanks for thinking of me, though.

Please, I do not wish to be congratulated publicly in the forums at any time. PMs are welcome. To me, it's satisfying enough that I can be of some help to someone and that I in turn can get help from so many of you.

I'd rather live on thinking that masses of people would have liked to congratulate me than take the risk of disappointment.:D

Seriously, modhood obliges... I really appreciated past congratulations.

I loved my first postiversary but now that I am moving towards the second, I would like to say "thank you very much for my first one but I'd rather I didn't have another one". The first one was very moving and, again, thanks, but one is enough for me :)
