Hi everyone

In Danish, you can call someone you love like your child or spouse "skat" (meaning similar to treasure). What do people say in other Nordic languages?

It is similar in Swedish. Combinations such as min skatt and min lilla skatt are quite common, although I have a feeling that the corresponding Danish phrases are in more common use.

What comes closes in Icelandic is probably gull with the added definite article.

    Jeg elsker dig, min skat!
    Jag älskar dig, min skatt!
    Ég elska þig, gullið mitt!
