Hello,
Could someone explain mutatis mutandis?
The context is as follows:
The alternative of having a national SUMA team should be taken into consideration instead of bringing personnel from thousand of miles away, or from several different countries. The national SUMA team could then, mutatis mutandis, respond immediately and more effectively.
Cheers!

    Hello,

mutatis mutandis is a Latin expression:
    adv. < mü'tâtEs mü'tândEs > : 1. With the necessary changes having been carried out .

    Hope that will help.

mutatis mutandis, literally changing the things that need to be changed, or making the necessary alterations, - it usually means making the necessary consequential or dependent changes. Here re the team it doesn't seem quite right or I am missing something.
