I've read that the adjective غلّينة 'calm' is only used to describe the sea. But بحر 'sea' is a masculine word. Why غلّينة is only used in the feminine form then? :confused:

    The word غلّينة is not an Arabic adjective. According to one source, the word is Greek. It's probably γαλήνη (galíni)* meaning "calm, serenity".

    * based on Google Translate.
