Hello everybody. I am working on the translation of a book about Dialogue Editing and I have trouble in translating this term -Foley. For all I know it has to do with film sound, but I cannot find a Spanish equivalent. Can you help me?
Many thanks.

Jack Foley was an american techniciam who invented the process for the addition of sound effects after the shooting of a film. So it is a proper name and should be kept without translation.

    ¡Hola Merlp!

"Foley" es el apellido del técnico del sonido que ha descubierto esta técnica.

Luego no deberías traducir el término ya que es conocido adondequiera que tú vayas.

Podrías traducir el término "foley" con "efectos sincrónicos" o "efectos vivos".

    ¡Saludos!

It's a surname, no translation available. See: Foley (filmmaking) at english wikipedia.

Could be traslated as ''efectos sonoros'' o ''sala/estudio de efectos sonoros"
