I’m watching “The Platform” on Netflix and من لانت كلمته وجبت محبته was translated as “he who is eloquent is indeed admired”. I’ve heard this before, my question is what does it imply and when do you say it? Thanks!!!

“he who is eloquent is indeed admired”.

I don't think this is a good translation. Literally, it says: The soft-spoken should be liked.
It clearly promotes quiet and gentle communication as opposed to clamor and vociferation.

This reminds me of Proverbs 15:1:

A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger.

In Arabic:

اَلْجَوَابُ اللَّيِّنُ يَصْرِفُ الْغَضَبَ، وَالْكَلاَمُ الْمُوجعُ يُهَيِّجُ السَّخَطَ.
